Chloe Grace Moretz is in talks to star in the remake of the classic horror film, “Suspiria,” opposite Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton, TheWrap has learned.

Luca Guadagnino, “A Bigger Splash” director, will helm the project. David Kajganich is writing the screenplay based on the 1977 film script by Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi.

The horror film follows a young ballet dancer who attends a prestigious dance academy in Europe. However, she finds something more supernatural and sinister among a series of murders. “Suspiria” is the Latin word for “sighs.”

Mythology’s James Vanderbilt, First Sun’s Marco Morabito, Paul Deason and Carlo Antonelli are exec producing.

WME Global and Carlos Goodman negotiated the deal with Amazon on behalf of the filmmakers.

Moretz recently starred in “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” and “The 5th Wave,” and is currently filming “November Criminals,” which also stars Ansel Elgort, Catherine Keener and Danny Flaherty.

The actress is represented by WME, T Squared Entertainment and BWR.
