JustJared.com has recently posted an exclusive clip from Chloe’s latest project ‘Hick’! In the video Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz carry out a scheme to rob a convenience store. Check it out!
The movie centers around small-town teenager Luli (Moretz) who “escapes to Las Vegas, leaving behind her alcoholic and abusive parents. Armed with her smarts, a pistol and pocket money, she hitchhikes her way west. Along the way, Luli crosses paths with Eddie (Eddie Redmayne), an unstable rebel with questionable motives and Glenda (Blake Lively), a cocaine-snorting drifter on the run.”
Hick, based on the critically acclaimed novel by Andrea Portes, will be released in theaters and VOD on May 11.
I’ve also added some new stills to the photo gallery, don’t forget to take a look!
Brand new interviews with Chloe which had been made in order to promote her the newest project ‘Dark Shadows’ surfaced the net. In the video Chloe and Bella Heathcote talk kissing Johnny Depp, meeting Johnny for the first time, working with Michelle Pfeiffer their characters, weirdness of Carolyn, The Seventees, fashion and set scene, and ‘Carrie’ remake. Be sure to check it out!
Here it is, the red-band trailer for Derick Martini’s adaptation of “Hick”. The story follows Luli (Chloe Moretz), a 13-year-old Nebraskan girl, and her rough life of crime and seduction on the road after she runs away from her neglectful parents. Taken in by Glenda (Blake Lively), a hard-living grifter, the two take Las Vegas by storm, guns in hand. Eddie Redmayne, Rory Culkin, Juliette Lewis and Alec Baldwin also co-star in the adaptation which is slated to hit UltraVOD on May 8th and heads to select theaters starting on May 11th at the beginning of the summer.
As far as I’m concerned, I can’t wait to see it. I’m curious how Chloe managed her role (and I have no doubts about it!) but the critics aren’t impressed by the film nor Chloe Grace. As one critic wrote when the film debuted at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival: “‘Hick’ is an even worse film than ‘Kick-Ass,’ and a potential [Chloe] Grace-Moretz career-killer.” We’ll see.
Brand new “Dark Shadows” trailer has already surfaced the net and it features a scene with Chloe Moretz as Carolyn Stoddard which we haven’t seen before. In case if you don’t know, the film is directed by Tim Burton (“Edward Scissorhands”, “Corpse Bride”) and stars such a big names like Johnny Depp (the main protagonist of the film, Barnabas Collins), Eva Green (Angelique Bouchard), Michelle Pfeiffer (Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, a mother of Carolyn) and Helena Bonham Carter (Dr. Julia Hoffman). “Dark Shadows” is released in cinemas May 11th this year (USA).
